Yes I agree that the square panels would be easier, I was praising your abilities on the rounded panels. Shining a light on the model to see the reflections is a very clever idea. I hadn’t thought of that.

影になる位置がわかりやすいからです。
実際に光源に照らしながら影になるところや反射してるところを参考に塗っています。

確かに、四角いパネルの方が簡単だと思います。丸いパネルの出来栄えを褒めていたんです。モデルに光を当てて反射を見るというのは、とても賢いアイデアですね。その点は思いつきませんでした。

こういうことが出来る人は、絵画的なセンスをお持ちなのだろうと思います。
初めて挑戦した時は同じように他の人の作品をみて真似できない、、と私も思ってました。YouTubeで上手い方のやり方見たり真似たりしてるうちに何となく今の感じになりました。今でも最後のエッジ線入れるまで大丈夫かなぁと思いながら塗ってますが。(gundam-kao5)
