HG 1/144 Gundam Aerial Rebuild Custom

The main body is based on the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial Rebuild, but I heavily modified it by combining additional parts from the XGF-02 Gundam Lfrith and Gundam Lfrith Anavata to create a more powerful and heavily armed upgrade version.

In my fictional setting, this custom unit was developed as the ultimate evolution of the original Aerial Rebuild, designed specifically for high-intensity space combat and overwhelming fire superiority. Compared to the normal Aerial Rebuild, this version possesses nearly twice the combat capability through major upgrades in weapon systems, mobility, defense, and funnel control performance.

One of the biggest changes is the addition of a double funnel system, allowing the mobile suit to deploy more attack bits simultaneously for both offensive and defensive operations. I also equipped the unit with dual shield equipment to improve protection during close-range and high-speed engagements.

The large backpack unit is another major feature of this custom build. Besides functioning as additional propulsion equipment, the backpack can also transform into a massive funnel launcher cannon capable of high-output long-range attacks. This equipment was designed to give the unit superior battlefield control and heavy firepower support during large-scale combat situations.

To compensate for the increased weight and equipment load, I added multiple extra thrusters across the body, including on the back thighs, knees, lower legs, and backpack unit. These additional boosters significantly improve acceleration, maneuverability, and mobility in outer space combat, allowing the machine to maintain high agility despite its heavier armored configuration.

From a design perspective, I wanted to preserve the original identity and silhouette of Aerial Rebuild while evolving it into a more aggressive, high-performance combat machine. I tried to combine the elegant appearance of the Aerial series with a more mechanical and heavily equipped style inspired by advanced assault-type mobile suits.

This custom project is purely based on my own fictional imagination and creative interpretation of what an upgraded Aerial Rebuild could look like if it received a full combat-oriented enhancement package.

You could say this is my personal imagined “ultimate combat specification” version of Gundam Aerial Rebuild.
