I ordered a commission work for this custom painted Zaku II, credit goes to @neorainsky on Instagram. The color scheme was meant to mimic real life vehicles like cars, planes, and bikes. In order to mimic real life vehicle color schemes, the Zaku II only have a single main color painted on his armor and the dark gray accent is made by frames and weapons of the machine itself, just like real life vehicles. 🙂

I agree with you that vehicles and weapons are not colorful!
That’s a really cool Zaku!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
I'm just a guy who shares the same Date of Birth (DOB) as Yoshiyuki Tomino and I prefer those mechas being monochromatic instead of having too many colors on their armor, just like his preference. How surprising. Therefore, my project will mainly focused on original coloring of an existing kit to make it look simpler by having less color than the base color scheme. :)
