I. Kshatriya: Reconfiguration of the Assault Unit (1/144 Scale)
The Kshatriya unit underwent a radical reconfiguration to transform it into an armored ground combat platform, adapted for the arid environment.
Structural Reinforcement: The visual mass of the Mobile Suit was expanded in the limbs and torso. Epoxy Putty was used to sculpt and blend the secondary armor plates, creating a robust, monolithic appearance. The volume was increased using Kitbash parts to simulate heavy, additional protection.
Modeling Techniques: Kitbash was essential for redefining the external armor. Finer modifications to the head and other details were achieved through Scratch-Building.
Specific Armament: The unit was equipped with an oversized combat axe, suitable for close-quarters ground fighting, and a missile launcher module or heavy armament mounted on the back.
Paint and Wear (Desert Weathering):
Camouflage Palette: The color scheme uses sand, beige, and pale brown tones for effective camouflage in the desert.
Dust and Erosion Effect: A light brown wash was applied across the entire surface to simulate general dirt accumulation. The use of dry pigments is dense on the boots and skirt armor, achieving the visual integration of the Mobile Suit with the sandy ground.
II. The Diorama: Outpost and Tactical Organization
The diorama’s composition communicates the activity and organization of a functional military operation in the desert.
Terrain and Environment: The base consists of fine, dry sand, textured with pigments. The most prominent geological feature is the large, reddish-brown rock formation that provides a strong contrast and establishes the topography of the sheltered area.
Base Design (1/144 Elements): The scene depicts a fully functional military camp:
Vehicles and Logistics: A line of Magella Attack tanks and other armored support vehicles are shown in desert camouflage, along with military tents and supply crates.
Human Figures Narrative (Scene Tactics): The precise placement of the 1/144 scale personnel details the activities and chain of command:
Pilots and Mobilization: One of the pilots is observed walking directly toward the Kshatriya, indicating an imminent deployment order or a unit check.
Command and Briefing: A second pilot or officer is attending to a group of officers gathered, suggesting a planning session or the reception of tactical orders.
Ground Crew: The remaining soldiers and personnel are positioned near the Magella Attack tanks, focused on maintenance, resupply, or guard duties.
