This model is for a Gundam Assemble competition. We were sent a Zaku model, which made it an interesting challenge to work with a model that I didn’t choose.
My approach was to find a way to take the model and make it match my own sensibilities.
The overall composition was made to accentuate the moving, acting feel of the model. The plinth was made from polystyrene sheets and the wood is beach wood pieces, assembled to give a feeling of movement.
I don't have a lot of experience with Object Source Lighting, but the way the heat hawk is glowing here turned out nice.
I freehanded the markings on the legs and feet, as well as the number on the shield
overall I'm happy with how it turned out. I think I need to practice painting more miniatures.
i made a little zaku
