This water-based paint is called Citadel Color, and it’s made in England.
In Japan, there are only a few stores that carry it, so I bought it online shopping through Amazon.
Of course, I think you can get it in the U.S., too.
It is often introduced in Japanese modeler’s blogs.
It was written that it is recommended to apply metallic color to one point on the cylinder part of the frame and so on.
Of course, it is possible to paint the whole body of a small model using a brush.
However, it is not suitable for painting a large surface because it is a brush painting.
It seems that unevenness is inevitable.
I tried a little brush painting yesterday, but it seems that dilution is very important.
I didn’t dilute it enough and all the molds were filled!
Citadel will be a water-based acrylic, so water will be fine. (Especially in Japan, where soft water comes out of the tap, so it is less likely to cause adverse effects. I don’t know about the water supply in the US!)
) If not water, I think there is a special product for Citadel.
If you use at least one other manufacturer’s thinner for water-based acrylics, I suggest you try it with something else and see how it goes.

Yes I have heard of that brand before. It’s best used for brush painting, from what I have read

Oh no!! I have had that happen before as well. I got an airbrush recently so I’ve been using it mostly. I still do some brush painting occasionally
I’ll try to remove the adhered paint and start over again.
I’ll report back if I get it right.
Does citadel require a certain type of thinner or can you just use any brand? I assume it’s acrylic paint
