This build is the Bandai MG MS-07B Gouf with a huge assist from the Neograde Super G resin kit. The custom kit is predominately resin pieces with some multi-media parts. This garage kit brings outstanding results but the parts clean up and fit are a serious challenge. This is not for beginners.
The light blue paint was mixed in three different shades. The base shade, the ligher shade. and a darker take on the same color. These were selectively air brushed on to simulate a light source from the upper right in the photo.
Horns, spikes, and tube beeds where air brushed with Molotow chrome. Then they recieved a coat of Tamiya Clear Blue.
Back View.....The jet nozzels on the back pack are turned aluminium. The outside recieved a coat of rust paint using the salt technique. This adds the texture associated with rust.
For the gun barrels and other metalic details a custom titanium paint was mixed. 2 parts MR Color Super Iron MR 203 plus 1 part MR Color Super Gold MR 202
This photo shows the blue paint shading. The light for the photo is directly above the figure yet the areas to the right in the photo are lighter.
