ライトニングガンダム – 脚

脚部の下側にある排気口に、幅1mmの溝を掘ってスラスターを埋め込んでみたのですが、接着後の強度が今ひとつでした。おまけに、脚の穴を埋めるために使った円形のスラスターの出来栄えも気に入らなかったので、すべて作り直すことにしました。プラ板を重ね合わせて段差のある形状の排気口を作り、それまでの失敗箇所を隠すように取り付けました。さらに、ジャンクパーツの中から良さげな翼状のパーツを見つけたので、それも脚部に追加してみました。どうでしょう、以前より格段に見栄えが良くなったと思いませんか？

I added thrusters to the lower vents on the legs by cutting a 1mm groove and slotting them in. unfortunately, after glueing it was not very rigid. And to top it off, I was not happy with the circular thrusters I had used to fill the leg holes. I decided to repair it all. Layering up some plastic sheets I was able to make a cascading style vent to cover up the mess I’d made. I also found some very nice wing shape parts in the junk. I added these to the legs. It’s looking a hell of a lot better now wouldn’t you say?
