スターク・ジェガン – 彩色

パーツの塗装がかなり進んだので、期末試験前に最後の進捗状況をお伝えします。

自分で色を調合することにしたのですが、当初のカラーモックアップから少しずれてしまいました。全体的に、本来の色よりも青みがかったターコイズブルーになってしまいました。うっかり…まあ、これは「カラーガイド」と呼ぶしかないでしょう。

仕上がりに満足できなかったため、多くのパーツを何度も塗り直しました。私は自分の作品に見栄えの良さを求めているんです。例えば、胴体部分は思い通りの仕上がりにならず、3回も塗り直しました。これが今の私のベストだと判断しました。

小さな鮮やかな緑色のパーツは、あまりにも小さかったので、ほとんど省略しようかと思ったのですが、結局塗ってよかったと思っています。全体の印象を良くしてくれるといいのですが。

実は、新しい作業用ランプを自分へのご褒美に買いました。あれがなければ、細かい筆塗りのパーツは到底無理だったでしょう。ゲームのレベルが上がって嬉しいです。

ゲームといえば…青と緑の組み合わせはモンスターハンターのブラキディオスを思い出させますね。いつかこんな風に全身をカラーリングしてみたいです。

I’ve managed to get a lot of the parts painted up and thought I’d share one final update before finals.

I decided to mix my own colours and drifted away from my original colour mock-up. The whole build is looking a little more blue/turquoise than it should. Oops… I suppose we could just call it a ‘colour guide’.

Alot of the parts I had to re-paint numerous times because I wasn’t impressed with the results. I want my models to look impressive. The torso for insatance was re-painted 3 times because I could not achieve the look I wanted. I’ve decided this was the best I could do.

I very nearly skipped out the small bright green parts because they were so tiny, but now I’m glad I didn’t. I hope they add to the overall impact of the build .

I actually treated myself to a new work lamp, a lot of the tiny brush parts would not have been possile without it. I’m happy I leveled up my game.

Speaking of games… The blue and green together remind me of Brachydios from Monster hunter. Would love to do a full colour scheme like this one day.
