モデルはまだ完成していませんが、我慢できずにちょっとだけお見せするために組み立ててみることにしました。

長々と話さないようにします。

このモデルの塗装で多くのことを学びました。小さな決断が、結果を大きく左右するのです。最初の頃は気に入らなかったのですが、今は納得し始めています。さあ、早速見ていきましょう。

表面は、スプレー缶のブラックのアーミーペインタープライマーです。

この製作にはヴァレホの塗料を使用しています。一番濃い青から始めて、明るい青へとグラデーションを作っていきます。

今回は頭部にもっと注意を払いたいと思いました。グスタフ・カールの頭部は少し雑でした。
スポンジを空けてドライブラシ風のアプローチをすると、頭部の盛り上がった部分を捉えて光に当てることができ、うまくいきました。

全体的にとても青くなっています。もしかしたら青すぎるかもしれません。幸い、赤が少しだけバランスを取ってくれています。次回は、鎧と手足を区別するために別の色を加えてみたいと思っています。

武器はまだ少し作業が残っているので、一緒に飾るためのカスタムベースをもう一つ作ってみたいと思っています。

The model is not finished but I could not resist and decided to build it up for a quick sneak peek.

I’ll try not to ramble on.

I learned a lot painting this model. So many small decisions make for a vastly different outcome. After disliking it in the early stages I’ve started to come round on now. Let’s dive in and have a look.

The surface layer is black Army Painter primer from a spray can.

I use Vallejo paints for this build. Starting with the darkest blue, I create a gradient into light blues.

This time I wanted to pay closer attention to the head. The Gustav Karl head was a little sloppy.
I found that unloading the sponge and doing a dry brush style approach worked well on the head piece, to catch the raised areas and bring them into the light.

Overall, it is very blue. Maybe too blue. Luckily the red helps to break it up a little. Next time I would like to try to add another colour to separate the armour from the limbs.

I still have some work to do on the weapons and want to try and create another custom base to display it with.
